History
Embedded in Silicon Saxony, AMTC has been producing at the Dresden site for 20 years. The following are the historical milestones of this period.
May 2002 | founded with Infineon Technologies AG, DuPont Photomasks, Inc. (later Toppan Photomasks, Inc.) and AMD Purpose of foundation: Production of optical photomasks, pilot line |
June 2002 | Groundbreaking |
April 2003 | Ready for Equipment |
October 2003 | First Mask Out |
Beginning 2004 | Start of Pilot Production |
End 2005 | Fully ramped |
January 2008 | Change in corporate structure, share transfer from Infineon Technologies AG to Qimonda AG |
2009 | Exclusion of Qimonda AG from the partnership, AMD and Toppan Photomasks, Inc. remain shareholders |
April 2012 | - transfer of AMD's shares to GLOBALFOUNDRIES - Partial transfer of production from Toppan Germany to AMTC - Founding purpose: Development & production of optical photomasks |
