What our employees say

EMPLOYEE STORIES

What does it mean for our employees to work in one of the largest and most advanced photomask centres in Europe? In our employee stories category, we ask this question. From shift workers to engineers and student, they all share their impressions. Our people are the heart of the company and tell us what drives them.

"You can expect to meet me in the clean room, in the office or in the sub-fab. I actively work with people on improving processes and enjoy playing in the Champions League of mask makers. Anything else would be boring for me. In my free time, I can be usually found in my garden or out and about with friends."

Shiftleader Production, seit 2011 im AMTC

Why the AMTC? There are certainly many reasons. The most tangible one for me is the family-like working atmosphere with very high-quality standards on site. When the doors of the management are open (they are very rarely closed), every employee can just walk in. All employees at the site are called by their first name. Ideas are also discussed with the management at eye level and implemented if possible. And that's what I want from my employer!

Robert Gottschalk

Manufacturing Technician, Production, seit 2016 im AMTC

After my vocational training as a microtechnologist, the AMTC is still my first employer. At the beginning, I was a bit taken aback by the many new impressions, including the shift system, which I had never experienced before. After a short time, I settled in well, which is also thanks to the friendly atmosphere. Now I have been at the AMTC for 4 years, and in that time I have been able to gain a lot of experience, which I now also pass on to new colleagues. I enjoy coming to work every day.

Lydia Höschler

Manufacturing Technician, seit 2017 im AMTC

I joined the AMTC in 2016 as a process engineer in a development group. This was one of the best decisions of my career so far. The working atmosphere between colleagues and with the management team is excellent and the activities are fulfilling. The opportunities to get involved are diverse and there is great scope to realize projects and ideas. The work/family balance is world class. My family and I are happy to have taken the step to move to Dresden. The city of Dresden is great and the surrounding area is perfect for wonderful trips, e.g. to nearby Saxon Switzerland. I can warmly recommend the AMTC to anyone who is interested!

Advanced IT for Advanced Masks - the philosophy of our strong IT team, which, in addition to standard office operations, provides all processes from data preparation to production with IT infrastructure and software automation solutions for 24/7 operations at the AMTC. Personally, I always find it very exciting and at the same time refreshing to design and implement IT solutions for the constantly evolving requirements with committed and very creative colleagues. Teamwork, short lines of communication and quick decisions, high quality and, last but not least, fun make working at AMTC much more than just a job.

Information Technology, Manager IT, seit 2019 im AMTC
